Pharmacological effect
1. Target: GLP-1 receptor, glucose-dependent activation of pancreatic β cells: Promotes insulin secretion when blood glucose levels rise; When blood sugar is normal, it does not stimulate insulin, and the risk of hypoglycemia is low.
2. Inhibit glucagon secretion and reduce liver sugar output; It delays gastric emptying, acts on the appetite center of the hypothalamus, increases satiety, and has a weaker weight loss effect than semaglutide and liraglutide.
3. Cardiovascular protection (REWIND Study) : Significantly reduces the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE: cardiovascular death, myocardial infarction, stroke) in adults with type 2 diabetes, regardless of whether the patients have already been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease.
