Pharmacological effect
1. Glucose-dependent insulin release: When blood glucose levels rise, the GLP-1 receptor is activated, promoting insulin secretion by pancreatic beta cells; It is hardly activated when blood sugar is normal, and the risk of hypoglycemia is low.
2. It inhibits glucagon secretion, reduces liver sugar output, and effectively lowers postprandial blood glucose (PPG). It is a typical mealtime GLP-1 agonist and is very classic when combined with basal insulin (compound preparations iGlarLixi and Siyining).
3. Significantly delay gastric emptying, prolong the retention time of food in the stomach, and suppress the peak blood sugar level after meals; It has a mild appetite-suppressing effect and a weaker weight loss effect than liraglutide.
4. Structural features: An additional 6 continuous lysine KKKKKK is added at the C-terminal to enhance the resistance of the polypeptide to the DPP-4 enzyme, extend the half-life, and enable one-time daily administration. No fatty acid side chain modification (unlike the C16 palmitoyl modification of Liraglutide).
