Recently, the customs issued a notice on regulating the declaration of import and export hazardous chemicals.
The notification content is as follows:
In order to strengthen the safety supervision of import and export of hazardous chemicals, ensure national security, and effectively safeguard people’s lives, health and property safety, in accordance with the "Import and Export Commodity Inspection Law of the People's Republic of China" and its implementation regulations and the "Regulations on the Safety Management of Dangerous Chemicals" All commodities included in my country's "Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals (2015 Edition)" (see Annex 1) shall be declared to the customs in accordance with the law. Please refer to the "Correspondence Table of Customs Commodity Numbers and Inspection and Quarantine Names of Dangerous Chemicals" (see Annex 2) for specific declaration content.
Commodities listed in my country’s "Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals (2015 Edition)" shall comply with the "Announcement on Issues Concerning the Inspection and Supervision of Import and Export of Hazardous Chemicals and Their Packaging" (formerly AQSIQ’s 2012 Announcement No. 30) and the “Customs The General Administration's Announcement on the Electronicization of Inspection and Quarantine Documents (Announcement [2018] No. 90) requires the submission of the accompanying documents.
